Whether you’ve got a busy work schedule or you’re a parent with your hands full, we all struggle to find a spare hour to treat ourselves to some beauty me-time.

But the long Jubilee bank holiday mega weekend is the perfect opportunity to try some DIY beauty treatments that’ll leave you feeling revived, refreshed and reset – cheers Queenie!

Try an at-home facial

Skincare is now so advanced, there’s no reason why you can’t achieve spa-worthy results with affordable, at-home products. Not to mention how relaxing it can be to kick back and relax with a nice face mask, listening to your favourite tunes!

To begin, rid your skin of any make-up, grime or dirt build-up with a good double cleanse. Emulsify impurities away with our best-selling Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil, before following with a soothing cream-based cleanser, such as the Super Facialist Rosehip Hydrate Calming Creamy Cleanser.

Then, we recommend using a gentle facial scrub. We love Dirty Works’ Good To Glow Face Scrub. Apply a small coin-sized amount to damp skin, and lightly massage it in circular motions, before rinsing with warm water and patting skin dry with a clean face cloth.

Next, use a pampering face mask, like BeautyPro’s Brightening Collagen Sheet Mask.

A super-nourishing serum will take your facial routine up a notch, and our Super Facialist Hyaluronic Acid Firming Intense Facial Serum is packed with skin-loving ingredients such as copper, calcium and radiance-boosting Hibiscus extract – as well as super-quenching hyaluronic acid.

Finally, slather on your favourite moisturiser – the Argan+ Moroccan Argan Oil Hydrating Super Charged Day Cream is our current main squeeze, followed by a dab of eye cream around the eye contours.

Go for a full body scrub

How often is it that you get the time to scrub yourself from head to toe? Let’s face it – none of us bother very often! But we guarantee you’ll be a body buffing aficionado after giving the Kind Natured Awaken Grapefruit & Orange Cleansing Scrub Bar a whirl.

Simply work it into a lather with warm water in the shower and massage it into your skin - making sure to pay particularly close attention to any rough or dry patches. Not only does this bar do a great job of ridding your body of any flakiness, it also contains grapefruit and orange extract, which will leave you feeling revitalised and refreshed, even if you’ve been using the extra days off to party.

Treat your locks

Struggle to find the time to care for your tresses? During the working week, a quick wash and go is all most of us can manage, so take this time to give your hair some TLC, with the help of a nourishing hair mask.

SenSpa Deeply Nourishing Hair & Scalp Mask contains an abundance of scalp and strand-loving ingredients such as shea butter, lava clay and Abyssinian oil. It’ll leave your hair and scalp feeling hydrated, nourished and silky soft. Simply work through the hair from root to tip – but focus on the ends of the hair where it is likely to be most damaged. Leave on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing and et voila! A mane that feels brand new.

Another great choice for dry, damaged and colour treated hair is our Argan+ Rescue & Repair Hair Mask.

Give yourself a mani

We live in the age of religiously sanitising and washing our hands – and while this isn’t necessarily a bad thing for our health, it does mean our hands and nails take a bit of a battering.

It’s time to pack the goodness back into them with the help of our Dirty Works Helping Hand, Hand Care Set. Start by soaking your hands in warm water for a few minutes to soften any dry cuticles, before pushing back the cuticles with a cuticle stick. Use the emery board to shape your nails, and massage the nail & cuticle balm into your nails and cuticles in circular motions.

To finish, massage the hand cream into your nails. Admittedly, it might be difficult to give yourself a proper hand massage, but take your time with working the product into your hands and massaging any extra tense areas with the opposite thumb. Follow with a slick of nail polish for the finishing touch.

Try a new make-up look

If there’s that one eye shadow trend that you’ve been dying to try ever since it popped up on your TikTok feed, now’s the time to give it a go! It’s far easier to try and perfect a new technique or look when you’ve got time on your side.

Pick up the Beautopia Eyeshadow Collection, a palette filled with daring copper, red, pink and neutral shades. Whichever look you’re going for, it’s got you covered!
